Another busy week at our great club.
It is fantastic to see our members return to play and see our pitch busy again after a very quiet few months. Each team has a Covid Supervisor assigned to them and they along with the team mentors will ensure that everything is being done to keep our members safe and healthy. We ask that you in turn follow all our guidelines and in doing so our members can continue to enjoy playing for the rest of this season and beyond. Unfortunately there are still no spectators allowed at matches or training, except in the case of our juvenile players who are allowed one adult to accompany them. These adults must, along with all our players complete the online health questionnaire and confirm online before each session or match. This must be shown to your Covid supervisor. Please remember your social distance of 2m when on the sideline.
The schools are back and its happy news for a lot of parents out there.
Things are definitely slowing returning to a normal life, but as you can see in the news, Covid is on the rise in Dublin so ensure to keep safe and continue with the social distancing.
2 big new stories of the week:
1: Nursery training is finally back this weekend. It will be great to see the youngest running around the pitch and using our great Hurling wall Saturday morning.
Kids born in 2015 and 2016 will train in the Hurling wall section from 9.45 to 10.30 while those born in 2013 and 2014 will train from 10 to 10.45.
All parents bringing their kids to this need to have both the questionnaire and e-learning course done for Covid.
If you have any questions in relation to this, you can easily contact Gavin on 083 009 9150 or email him on Gavin.firstname.lastname@example.org.
2: U8 girls play their first official competitive match this Sunday at 11.30 in Glencullen against St Mary Saggart. They have played a few games so far and have all enjoyed it. Best of luck to Mark, Siobhan and the girls.
We are delighted to announce that our club shop is reopening this weekend 9.30-10.30 Saturday and 9.30-10.45 on Sunday. All sales will be completed through the club shop window as it is strictly only one person in the shop. Payment will be by card only.
The club shop is run by Gavin Mulvey, Sinead Roe, Siobhán Kilmurray and Sean Roe.
We all know that children grow out of their gear so fast and we thought we’d ease the burden on parents by organising a second hand gear sale. For this to work, we’re asking you to donate any of your old/unwanted (clean) Stars of Erin gear over the next few weeks. You can give them to Siobhan on Thursday nights or leave them in the club shop on Saturdays and Sundays. We’ll have boxes in the shop labelled “Gear Sale” and will sort out what has been donated sanitise, wash and completed a sale list for all members.
We’re looking for
· Stars of Erin gear
· Football boots (must be in good condition)
The plan is to sell all this gear at low prices in the shop before the end of September. If you are missing some gear please email email@example.com and we’ll see can we can assist you.
I know from my own experience that I thought I had paid this prior to Corona back in early March, but hadn’t, and only paid mind today when I got reminder from one of my kids coaches today, so thanks Gary.
So its easy to forgot so we would appreciate if you could do it asap.
It is the only source of income for the club at the moment so its vital we all pay our membership.
As we cant do the lotto due to corona restrictions at the current time, we are looking at doing it all on online. Watch this space for more news.
With the kids / adults now back training and playing games, we need to ensure that all our members have the membership paid, as we as a club, still have to register all our teams with the county board as well as buy the usual footballs and sliotars etc etc.
To pay, you can easily do it via the Clubforce app, or via below link.

Best of luck to the all teams playing this weekend.
We are always on the look out for new members from Nursery to the adult teams, so all we ask of you is to send this email to your friends / neighbours who might be interested in joining the club. Please also share via WhatsApp groups.
We also ask you to like & share on our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok pages. This promotes us in the area and should attract new members.
Thanks to the likes of Brian and Gaye who keep us up to date on social media posts.
Finally, can someone from each team check with all members they are getting the emails. We want to ensure everyone is kept up to date on all club news. All you have to do is ask them to forward their email address to above email address and I will set up.
