Weekly News 28th September

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend with the great weather, got out and enjoyed the sunshine and played some sports.
We had lots of kids up at the pitch on Saturday morning (nursery, U8 boys, U10 boys and U11 boys to name a few) plus the girls (U8, U9 and U14) going through their drills as well as the Mens team playing a match. Another busy weekend indeed.

See Facebook Post of the kids enjoying themselves. Please share and like posts like this to promote our great club.

We also have lots of great activities going on.

500km walking challenge
Our great Stars member Jason Sinclair is doing a 500km walking challenge for the club. It’s on the clubs social media pages so please like/ share and donate. Mark and the U8 girls are onboard are were glad to help in their training as per attached.
See link below for it.

Last Person Standing
Stars of Erin are running a Last Person Standing competition.
With our major fundraising events cancelled this year we hope you support the club while putting your prediction skills to the test. The competition is open to members and non-members so please invite friends/work colleagues to participate.
See link below for rules on how to win. It only costs a €10 to enter.

It will be great to get as many people involved in this as will I’m sure bring lots of bragging rights for the winner.
I will keep you updated on some of the successful entrants each week, as well as some of those knocked out.
I’m going to say that I predict to win it in week 7, sorry everyone. So cant you beat me????

We would like to thank Diarmuid from Resync Physiotherapy (based in Belarmine Medical Centre, www.resyncphysiotherapy.ie) for giving the cash prize.
Any issues / questions, please email lps@starsoferin.ie.
Thanks to Mark for coming up with this great idea.

Men team: Hard luck to them who played in the cup on Sunday in Glencullen V BOI. They lost by a point to a late goal. The season is now over for them.

Covid Update:
Stay safe, wash your hands and wear a mask.
Please continue to complete the Return to play the day of each session. This must be shown to your Covid supervisor.

We had another great week of training with so many teams taking advantage of the great weather and training a few times throughtout the week, and especially over the weekend as stated above.
Thanks again to all the coaches for their continued support in these strange times and keeping our spirits up and kids active.

Training: As above, continues on non contact basis.
