Here is the news for the week:
Another busy weekend of matches for all our teams. Congrats to all players and couches, keep up the great work. Our U10 boys had the weekend off, so instead of resting on their laurels, they in keeping with the ‘outdoor summer’ theme the boys and coaches enjoyed a hike up to Fairy Castle last Saturday morning. Everyone had a great time and the boys showed on the final climb that it is the coaches rather than the players that need to work on their fitness over the summer! A great idea for all teams to build team spirit and a fun day out for all.
U15 Girls update: U15 girls have 8 girls lining out for the Dublin Camogie Development Squad this week. This is great for the club to have so many. A big well done to all the players, the coaches and parents. Congrats to Sarah Mulhall, Sarah Pluck, Kate Kelly, Emily Lindsay, Kelli Ann Coughlan, Ella Roe, Alai Gill and Becky Hill.
Centra Ad: I hope you have all see the new Centra ad which features some of our members, last year’s U11 boys, super coach Mark, and Adult Mens Team (lining out in Cork jerseys) is on tv and also various billboards / bus shelter spots around the country. There are also a few locally so if anyone spots one, ensure to get a photo of yourself in club colours and promote on Social media. I know Brian has posted on this great advertisement for the club so please Like and Share please. Thanks 🙏
Training: Continues as normal this week. The Thursday booking in Stepaside all weather has been extended for the next four Thursdays up to and including 22nd July. We will take a month off then in line with the break in matches and resume week beginning 23rd August when we will have 2 slots a week in Stepaside Monday at 6pm and Thursday at 7pm. Each team will be given 1 all weather slot which will be allocated in course. This is to facilitate teams that will no longer be able to train in Ballyogan when the evenings close in. These dual bookings will be in place until the end of the season. Thanks Brian F and Peter for organising this.

Award of the week: Goes to Ronan from the U12 boys team. Poor Ronan had broken a toe in his school sports day, missing a month of GAA, had just recovered from it, then played with his brother on the U14 team as they were short players, and unfortunately broke 2 fingers putting him out of action again for another month. We wish him a speedy recovery.
New Members:RECRUIT, RECRUIT and RECRUIT are so key for our club. Thanks to those that are spreading the news as I have got emails from new joiners and in all the emails, there is nothing but great things being said about our club. Keep up the great work. You don’t just have to recruit just for your kids team, if you know younger / older neighbours kids that might be interested, can you please spread the word. It is then up to the necessary team coaches to look after them when they turn up. Please promote the club by liking and sharing our great Social Media posts completed by Brian. There are lots of posts of different teams, including the U9 girls first games, the great comeback by the Ladies team and many more with their great results to date. Can all parents please try and recruit one new member each? Forecast 5 update: I had another great weekend of predictions going with both home teams to win in Brazil and England. I am definitely going to start shouting on the Dubs now 😂😂.
