Weekly News 11th November

Hi all,
A bad weekend for the Rossies losing to the red and green of Mayo. Its one of the few times I cant shout for our club colours. And poor old Kerry, the league champions, getting beating in ET by Cork, winners of Division 3. I hope Sean has recovered. Unfortunately with those 2 big teams gone, it leaves it all open again for Dublin ;(.
Here is the latest news
Challenge walk update.
As of today Jason has walked 559km over 8 1/2 weeks. Next Saturday 14th he will do the 30k walk. The route will start at 8am at the Stars of Erin pitch taking in Fairy Castle Tibradden Cairn Tree Rock mountain before walking down to Stepaside across to Kilternan then back up to Glencullen. Give him a cheer if you see me walking.
Jason’s own team the U15s are arranging to do the last 3k with him so a big thank you to them as well.

Jason would like to thank everyone for the support so far and the total raised stands at €2815 it would be great to reach €3000.

Due to Covid restrictions our AGM which was due to be held in December has been postponed until further notice.

Covid Update
We are all very grateful that our children can still train every week during these level 5 restrictions. It is essential for the children to be able to get out in the fresh air, have fun, see their friends and have some normality during these tough times. Following our executive meeting we are asking all parents/guardians to wear masks when dropping off and collecting children and if you are around the pitch at the weekends. We would like to continue to keep all our members safe and healthy.

Stay safe, wash your hands and wear a mask.
Please continue to complete the Return to play the day of each session. This must be shown to your Covid supervisor.

Training: As above, continues on non contact basis.
Nursery:  Training every Saturday.
Kids born in 2015 and 2016 will train in the Hurling wall section from 9.45 to 10.30 while those born in 2013 and 2014 will train from 10 to 10.45.
All parents bringing their kids to this need to have both the questionnaire and e-learning course done for Covid.

If you have any questions in relation to this, you can easily contact Gavin on 083 009 9150 or email him on Gavin.weir.gpo.dublin@gaa.ie.

Juvenile: Every Thursday evening in all the all weather pitch in Stepaside.
Again, with the groups, we have to split the times for the kids.
U11 and up – train 7pm to 8pm.
U10 down – train 7 to 7.50pm.

Women: Train every week until end of October. Contact Gaye on 087 1241409.
Gaelic for Mothers and Others: Train on Mondays at 7.45 in Glencullen. Contact Mandy 086 8831350 or email akeegan47@gmail.com for more information. No experience required.
