Girls Finals this Sunday

Hi all

What a weekend we have in store for our U14 and U15 Girls, both are playing finals this Sunday. It would be great to get as many supporters to these games and shout the girls on.

Under 15 Girls – Division 4 Camogie Final:

Under 15 girls came through a tough Camogie league division 4 semi final against Ballyboden St Edna’s with another composed performance. The Stars girls had a level of intensity and determination that very few teams could compete with, add in a multitude of skill and some great individual performances and there was only one team going through to the final. This is another milestone for this impressive group of girls, having collected silverware in 2018 and 2019, only to be denied by Covid in 2020. In the middle of this they earned promotion to leagues 6 and 4 in football and Camogie respectively. Last year they had qualified for all 4 semi finals ( league and Championship in both football & Camogie ) and also had Feile firmly in their sights. But Covid cancelled what could have been such a monumental year for the team and indeed the club.So this Sunday they go to the Division 4 Camogie Final against a very impressive Naomh Mearnog team with their usual confidence and belief that a good performance will not just secure another piece of silverware but also promotion to Division 3.  Your support of this great team would be very much appreciated, the match is in Naomh Mearnog GAA Club Portmarnock at 11:00 on Sunday.Best of luck to Tommy, James and the girls.

Under 14 Girls – Camogie Final:They will play the Final in Glencullen this Sunday at 1:30pm against Erin Go Bragh.
They had a great win over a strong Erin’s Isle team last Sunday week playing away from home. This secured them a top place finish in their group and also a Camogie league final for the girls.

If going to the match with the kids, get them to sing the following

2,4,6,8, who do we appreciate, Not the queen, not the king. But the Stars of Erin Camogie Team.

It would be great to get as many supporters, young and old in club colours up to support these 2 great teams. From all at Stars, best of luck.

We will start the praying now Clive
